1. Introduction

Welcome to ChatIncognitoBot (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", "our", "the Bot", "our Bot"). We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our Bot.

2. Data Collection

When you use our Bot, we collect the following information:

Data obtained by telegram APIs:

• Your telegram ID: your telegram account ID. This is necessary for the bot to interact with you (e.g., sending messages and all other interactions with your chat).
• Your language code: we obtain this data from telegram APIs. We use this to predict which language would be best for you on the bot and to give you the most suitable translations before you choose your language. Also we analyze this data to understand if many users are speaking a particular language, so that we can invest time and money to add a translation for them.
• If you blocked the bot or not: we use this info so that we will not try to match users with you anymore. Furthermore we will not try to send you broadcast messages. This allows us to save resources.
• The (temporary) list of the sent and received messages IDs (not the message contents, only messages IDs) and the IDs of the telegram users that were matched: THIS INFO IS STORED ONLY TEMPORARILY: IT GETS DELETED AUTOMATICALLY AFTER A SHORT TIME SINCE IT WAS COLLECTED. With this data we can provide a better chat experience, supporting replies in chats and other technical stuff. Furthermore this allows us to run the feature to report messages to the staff and the feature to revoke messages for your partner (and viceversa).

Data obtained by your inputs:

• Your language preference: the language you selected on the bot. It is necessary in order to give you suitable translations (where supported) and to match you only with users speaking the same language. It is used to improve your experience. Also it is important for statistic purposes.
• Your gender (optional): the gender you selected on the bot. We save this info to provide matches with other users based on the gender. Also it is used to indicate your gender to the partner during chats.
• Your location (optional): we need this optional info to calculate the distance between you and your matched users and try to match you with the closest users. It is used only to enhance the match experience. Also it is used to indicate the distance between you and your partner when the chat starts. This info is collected only as a static location represented by longitude and latitude in the exact moment you share it with our Bot. The location does not update automatically and our Bot is unable to follow your movements.
• Your preference about commands or buttons in settings: We need this in order to provide you with the menu you prefer. The bot can use commands or buttons for the interface and so provide a more personalized experience.
• Your birthdate (optional): with this data we can calculate your age and we use this data to provide a better chat experience allowing to filter matches based on ages. We ask you your birthdate (not your age), so that you do not need to update the age when you grow older.
• Minimum and maximum age of the partner you want to be matched with (optional): with this data we can provide a better chat experience using this value to filter possible partners to match you based on their age (and viceversa).
• The gender of the partner you want to be matched with (optional): with this data we can provide a better chat experience using this value to match you only with partners that set a specific gender for themselves. IT DOES NOT REPRESENT YOUR SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND THE BOT IS NOT ASKING YOUR SEXUAL ORIENTATION, but only the gender of the partner you would like to chat with.
• If you enabled the ability to send requests to reopen chats: with this data we give you the ability to match again a user you chatted with recently, if you closed the chat by mistake and viceversa you can receive requests to reopen chats by your partners.
• If you want to enable the "VIP" badge: with this data we can give a better chat experience understanding if you want to show your partners that you are a "VIP" user on our Bot.
• If you want to block the media receiving from your partners: with this data we can give a better chat experience understanding if you want to block your partners to send you media. Text and voice messages will always be received in any case.

Stored data elaborated by the bot:

• Your chat status: we need this data to understand if you are in a chat with another user, waiting for a partner, waiting for a response to reopen a closed chat or simply nothing of the previous options.
• The telegram id of the matched user: we need this info to provide to your partner the messages you want to send him and viceversa. Basically it is paramount for the whole anonymous chat experience.
• The (temporary) list of the previous matched users: THIS INFO IS STORED ONLY TEMPORARILY: IT GETS DELETED AUTOMATICALLY AFTER A SHORT TIME SINCE IT WAS COLLECTED. This data is needed in order not to re-match you with the users you have already been matched with recently.
• Ban info: details regarding any ban, including the duration and the reason. We use this data to make sure that users violating our terms cannot make new chats on the bot with other users. This info is stored for security reasons.
• The timestamp you registered on the bot and the timestamp about your last interaction on the bot: we use this data for technical operations and for statistical purposes.
• The timestamp when you used our VIP features (in case you bought them): we use this to improve refunds processing by verifying if you have been using them or not and for how long.
• The referral code the bot assigned to you: this is necessary to know if a user starting our Bot for his first time through an invitation link, has clicked on your link or the link of other users.
• The ID of the Telegram users invited by you and the relative timestamp: this is necessary for referrals, we need this data to attribute to your account the fact that that particular user was actually invited by you.
• The ID of the Telegram user who invited you on our bot and the relative timestamp: this is necessary for referrals, we need this data to attribute to the user who invited you that he has actually invited you.
• The (temporary) token assigned by the bot to a chat you had with another user: THIS INFO IS STORED ONLY TEMPORARILY: IT GETS DELETED AUTOMATICALLY AFTER A SHORT TIME SINCE IT WAS COLLECTED. This is necessary to let you reopen a closed chat. In this way we can identify which one is the closed chat that you wish to reopen (or that your partner wants to reopen with you).
• The payments you made on our bot: we save the following data: timestamp, amount, telegram_payment_charge_id, provider_payment_charge_id, if it has been refunded, license duration. All this data is necessary to implement paid features. WE NEITHER STORE NOR RECEIVE YOUR PRIVATE PAYMENT DETAILS (e.g., credit card numbers etc).

We can elaborate the data we collect to obtain counters, statistics and other technical info (for example, we can use the data of the payments, in particular, duration of the license and the payment timestamp to calculate if you have an active license at the moment. Or we can use your birthdate to calculate your age).

3. Non-Real Data

Users are not required to enter real data on our Bot about their profile. Users have the option to provide non-real or fictitious information for the fields about their profile on our Bot. This is valid also for birthdate, gender, location.

Our Bot does not require the information provided to be real, we do not verify the truthfulness of this information, and entering fictitious data does not constitute a violation of our Bot's rules.

These data are intended to provide a better chat experience allowing to filter matches based on them, as explained in the section about data collection of this document. This policy has been adopted to ensure the highest level of privacy and security for users, so our users are free to set not real info for their profile fields like birthdate and location or they can set them slightly altered to keep getting advantage of these features, but not sharing sensitive personal information.

4. Use of Data

We use your data for the following purposes:

• To allow the functioning of anonymous chatting among users on our Bot.
• To personalize our Bot settings according to your preferences.
• To manage and improve our services.
• To allow the implementation of a referral system internal to our Bot.
• To allow the implementation of licenses purchases.
• To enforce our terms of service and policies.
• To create statistics for our staff to understand the usage of our service and improve it.
• To send you staff messages and advertising messages based on your profile data (such as targeting by a given language).

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data to third parties. However, your data may be shared with our team for support and moderation purposes, particularly for handling reports and spam detection. Additionally, we may disclose your data if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your Telegram account is active so that you will not lose the licenses you bought, the amount of invited users, and all the preferences you set. Also we do not want to lose information about your ban status to enforce our terms. After you delete your telegram account we will not need your data anymore, but our Bot will not be notified of this event. When we periodically carry out our data cleaning activities, we can become aware that your telegram account is not active anymore and thus proceed with the deletion of your data. Since these operations require many resources, we do not carry them out on a regular basis. That said, we can keep your data for up to 10 years after you delete your Telegram account. However, upon your request, we can delete your data (read more on "Your Rights" section of this privacy policy).

7. Message Content

Our bot does not save the content of your messages on our databases. However, messages reported to our staff via the /report command, as well as those flagged by our anti-spam systems, are forwarded to our team for review. We may also use automated algorithms to analyze messages to prevent the abuse of our terms.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

9. Your Rights

Under applicable data protection legislation, in certain circumstances, you have rights concerning your personal data. You have a right to: (1) request a copy of all your personal data that we store and to transmit that copy to another data controller; (2) delete or amend your personal data (some information, such as ban info paired with your telegram ID, is to be considered fundamental to enforce our terms of services and therefore its cancellation cannot be requested.); (3) restrict, or object to, the processing of your personal data; (4) correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold on you; and (5) lodge a complaint with national data protection authorities regarding our processing of your personal data.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will review and may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes to this Privacy Policy will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on the link you can find on our Bot issuing the /privacy command. Please check frequently the /privacy command on our Bot.
